So SEGA finally decided to tell us when Sonic 4 is coming out, and surprise! It's in less than 2 weeks. Dates:
iPhone - Oct. 7
WiiWare - Oct. 11
PSN - Oct. 12
XBLA - Oct. 13
The plan is to have charts up later in the day of the Wii release, so we'll all be able to jump right in and fight for the championship!
Furthermore, a special TSC Race Night will be run on the night of October 14th (US time) of just Sonic 4, with a marathon of 1, 2, 3&K and 4 to follow on Saturday if there's enough interest.

I move that we move the race to Oct 14.
Incidentally, you'll be hearing from me first about since my phone happens to be an iPhone. However, since there are some people who don't like spoilers, i'm going to most likely say how I feel about the game and if i like it or not.

I'm going to get a Wii Points card now. Can't wait to play Sonic 4. I'm getting it on the Wii.

Well I'm not doing either race night. Because Warmachine group meets the 14th and I have karaoke night on that Saturday, and I'd rather sing and drink with friends than game TBH. >_>

Damn it! I can't get it on the wii because I can't get it to connect to the internet. I don't know the password. Also my xbox is dead :(
I'm either going to have to ask my dad to help me with the wii or I sort out the xbox untill it really dies >_> or buy a new xbox :(

Quartz, if the iOS version (since it'd be avaliable for iPod Touch too) is different to a console version, then i'm most likely going to default to playing the Wii version, since that is all i currently have access too. I have a mint condition 360 copy of Bioshock 2 that I am unable to play :<

Hey i have a copy of '06 for PS3 still not finished yet, no more access to it anymore. I'd sell it, but nah. Selling games is like selling an organ to me.

I still have over 100 PS2 games.. and I don't have one anymore
also a few dreamcast games, but I still own one, it just doesn't work.

I have SSBB, and have never owned a Wii (may get one soon for Colors, as I've stated, though)
Aside from that, I own NiGHTS for Saturn (own a saturn, doesn't work), FF2 for Wonderswan, and I guess I could include my huge NES library, because I have an NES (Two, in fact), but my only working one is in a box in Texas.

Before I start speed runs and other crap I want to enjoy Sonic 4 ep 1 for a bit. That's what I did with New Super Mario Bros Wii.

Got some good news. I got my wii connected to the internet now :) I'm going to be a bit naughty and get both the wii and 360 version, so I can build up on my gamerscore. Also I am impatient and can't wait another two days for the game to come out. I was told it comes out on the 15th on the wii for Europeans, which sucks >:O

Just had a quick look at the achievements, they don't look too hard, as so long the E.G.G. station (untouchable) isn't anything like eggmanland on SU >_>

Sounds good, super sonic ftw. Also, I'm waiting for the story realease to get to know the continuation of the epic story.
... and I hope the final stage to be hard, like (or almost) as difficult as eggmanland in SU360 :D

Without giving anything away, it is more difficult than you think. I am still struggling to do so on the iOS version.

Get it when it's released. It is actually quite good. SEGA did good. It's no Sonic 3/K, but it sure beats the fuck out of any game released in the last 15 years.

Er, I was a tad confused, it's not out until the 15th on the Wii in Europe, other consoles get it a tad earlier.

edit : the championship is going to be divided to each platforms? like the 360/PS3 one, Wii another, etc. or is it going to be all united, plus iPhone included?

We have to see if the iPhone physics are different to the consoles' ones. If they aren't, then they'll all be on the one chart, except for iPhone CS2/LL2. If the game physics are different, then iPhone will not be included in any charts.

Looking at the reviews, I have good news. Average score of 8.1-8.4 depending on version (console). Have fun with it.

Patience. You must wait for an opening. Have you ever played a classic platformer before? You must wait for an opportunity to present itself.

yeah, he throws one of his arms and I homing attack it, but it always hit. I only tried a couple of times though.

When the arm is falling, hit it when it's not electrified.

And then afterwards, you hit the Eggmech for massive damage (about 12 times).

It's a huge bitch to TA. Be patient if you're just trying to beat it. Learn the attack pattern. When he's electrified and jumps up into the air, go all the way to one side and wait for the targeting reticle to stop moving and then do a homing attack away from the wall, then go all the way to the other side. You'll be able to see him shoot the arm but it'll be out of reach to hit you. Then run back to the boss, stopping a short distance from him, and wait for the claw arm to come back down. Homing attack it and you'll get at least 4 hits in on the boss (jump, hit, homing attack, repeat) per boss cycle. After he comes back he'll jump around. After you get some practice with this strat you can actually just stand in a certain place each time and he'll jump over you.
It simply gets trickier later on when he fires the pink bullets and the laser.

Don't fucking Homing attack the claw. It throws you back, making you lose precious time. You don't know how to TA i'm afraid SB. I am revoking your TSC license.
