In your opinion what video game series has the best music. There are no limits to how many games this series has. It just have 2 and be considered a series. Post your opinions here.

Katamari series by NBGI (NamcoBandaiGamesInc) hands down.  With Yuu Miyake always being the lead music producer, this series has always had the best tracks since it's birth.  I don't even need to play any future titles to know any of their complement soundtracks will be worth the money.  I go in on full faith and I'm awarded with the sounds of extravagant wonders.  This wasn't even a hard decision with the oodles of music I've collected over the years.  Sure, the series isn't as lengthy as others (sonic :p), but I can say in full confidence that each soundtrack that has been released with these games (and they've done it with every game so far), I can listen to fully and not be disappointed.

Sonic, Donkey Kong Country, Final Fantasy.

Honorable mention: Galaforce (BBC Micro). Two games, I'm not keen on 2's music, but the first game's theme is the single best track of its era.

I say Mario, Sonic, Kirby and the DKC games has some of the best music in any video game.

RPG is almost right, except should say "Ace Attorney" because the non Phoenix Wright games of the series also have fantastic music.

Castlevania, Jet Set Radio, Sonic, Megaman, Zelda, Guilty Gear, Final Fantasy (although I feel like its glory days are long past, the older games' soundtracks are just that good)

Idk mostly the regular ones. Mega man, Castlevania, Sonic, Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Pokemon, Most RARE games (DK, BK, CBFD etc.). I remember how I sometimes put my Brawl disc on just to listen to the music a lot of years ago. The Fallout series has a lot of commercial songs but in good taste.

Also I have to voice my love for the Crazy Bus main theme on Genesis. It could be considered a series if you count all the released versions.

On a serious note, I would say Sonic. I don't think I've ever disliked a piece of music (Used to dislike reach for the stars, but it's growing on me now >__>) and the SA2 soundtrack is my favourite.
I haven't played enough of other series to even decide.

Guys, rather than stating -all- your favourites, how about you pick one and discuss why/why not with people? Because I'm the only one that has suggested it, Cave Story is clearly too underground to be enjoyed!
