General Sonic / Re: SONIC CHRONICLES: The Dark Brotherhood

This game looks like it will be very unique, by Sonic The Hedgehog game-usual standards. It will be interesting to play, I hope. It definitely is looking great so far, judging by the screenshots. I hope it turns out to be a great game. I will buy it when it comes out.

made it to level 5, but not enough points for 6 :/

This is a pretty cool geography game. I made it to level 6, and my final score was 156,338 points.

Gaming and Grazing / Re: UR MR GAY (Super Mario Galaxy)
« on: January 11, 2008, 08:33:57 pm »
I have finished the game as Mario with 120 stars, which I did a couple weeks ago. I think it was definitely enjoyable. I had some problems with the swimming controls which frustrated me at times, but it didn't majorly detract from the full gameplay experience. The difficulty level to me was pretty easy, too. I didn't have any problems with the camera, however. Overall, I thought it was an excellent game.

I'll just give you a few last helpful hints for Time Attacking in Sonic Heroes. Along the lines of a glitch, there is something called the "door phase", which can allow you to pass through an unopened door. You can also pass through some laser barriers, with it. Here is a video of the technique, and hopefully your internet connection allows you to see it. If not, then someone will explain it for you.

Also, always try to think of many ways of what you are going to do before trying to get a fast time, and plan, and practice. It will probably make you more successful, and you won't waste time.

Information Kiosk / Re: TSC Awards!
« on: January 02, 2008, 06:21:44 pm »
Those lists are great ideas for awards, personally. I thought of something, though. Maybe there shouldn't be an award for anything that involves getting the most hits on a guide/video etc., because you can always keep loading the page to get those hits needed for that award.

These are pretty funny, especially for the Tetris based one, about the two cows needing to be different shapes.

If you are wondering how get to the altar room, you can either use the Thundershoot flying trick where you can fly for a longer period of time, or use the Team Blast, Rocket Accel, jump, and hope you can get to the altar.

Leaderboard Disputes / Re: SonicFan23: ...
« on: December 27, 2007, 10:54:46 pm »
It is impossible to kill the other team within 5 seconds if you start the fight normally. The glitch that was said in SonicFan23's comment was said to be disallowed. Thus, his stat probably is invalid.

Wikkity! / Re: What are YOU planning on getting for Christmas?
« on: December 25, 2007, 07:46:36 pm »
Wow, I got many Christmas presents this year, and I didn't even ask for most of them. Here is my list.

1. The 2007 Hess Truck Set, with some spare batteries.

2. A clad proof presidential set of four gold-plated coins. They were never touched by human hands, and are in a special glass case.

3. The Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock set for the Nintendo Wii.

4. A "How I Play Golf" book written by Tiger Woods.

5. A drawing book set, with everything you need to create art.

6. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, for the Nintendo Wii.

7. The Wii Zapper, which comes along with Link's Crossbow Training.

8. A lot of chocolate, candy, and related goodies that you can find in stockings.

9. Some SpongeBob Squarepants style Christmas ornaments.

10. A Saint Louis Rams fleece throw, which is a big blanket you can wrap yourself in. They are an American Football team.

11. The book Foundling, by D.M. Cornish.

12. The 2-Disc Widescreen edition of the James Bond movie, "Casino Royale".

13. The Fullscreen version of the movie "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."

14. A lot of clothing.

15. Two 24-set packs of Duracell AA batteries.

Well, that is it. I certainly got more than I did last year. This was a pretty good Christmas, in terms of presents. Now, to start enjoying my gifts!

That video was pretty funny. I remember I was that excited when I got my Blastoise card, which seems long ago. I still have all of my old Pokémon cards in a huge binder with card seperating sheets, including Blastoise and Charizard. I didn't seem to have the urge to collect them after the Johto series though, and I think the original Kanto series was the best.

General Sonic / Re: If you lived in the Sonic world...

If I could live near a stage in any Sonic game, I'd probably have to live near Emerald Coast in Sonic Adventure. It seems so peaceful in the area there, and I have always wanted to live by the beach.

Hey, it doesn't really matter to me if fullscreen is not as good as widescreen. I want the fullscreen version. Most of my collection of DVD's are the fullscreen versions, so I want to continue that trend.

Well, I didn't know that about Toshiba laptops. Thanks for the information Gerbilsoft. I'll research other brands then, and maybe I'll look into Dell laptops.

Wikkity! / Re: What are YOU planning on getting for Christmas?
« on: December 07, 2007, 10:58:34 pm »
I don't really have that much I am asking for this Christmas, but I do have a few things.

1. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Fullscreen version on DVD.

2. A Toshiba laptop. (I wanted this last year, but I never got it. I have to decide on a model I want though, since new models have come out since last year.

3. Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock for the Nintendo Wii.

Hopefully I'll get many other things that I'm thinking about asking for right now, because most of my relatives know that I want them.

That video demonstrates the right way to get up the fan in Rail Canyon with Team Rose. You are doing the right thing if you do what the video shows. Just keep practicing it, and you'll eventually get up to the rails.

I took the quiz, and my result was the color White.

I am pretty surprised Sonic is confirmed for SSBB, but then again, I had a feeling he would get in. His moves look great, much better than I had expected. His speed looks pretty good to. I am looking forward to playing with him. This is so cool!

General Sonic / Re: so did ANYONE like the new sonic games?
« on: October 11, 2007, 05:13:12 pm »
I thought Sonic and the Secret Rings was pretty good. It does take a while to get into the game to start having fun, though. I haven't played Sonic The Hedgehog at all, besides a demo that wasn't good at all, in my opinion. Sonic Rush Adventure was awesome, and it is one of my most favorite Nintendo DS games. Mario and Sonic at The Olympic Games looks pretty cool too.

84
Some of the recent updates for SSBB seem pretty cool, such as the Team mode in the Subspace Emissary part of the game. Playing as two characters in  the story mode looks to be interesting.

Gaming and Grazing / Re: Wi-Fi with Mario Strikers
« on: September 12, 2007, 05:47:39 pm »
Sorry to say this, but I don't really want to play in a tournament about Mario Strikers Charged right now. Maybe you can find some other people, though. I have other things I am doing at the moment.

86
I also agree. Team Sonic's Extra Missions should go up for rings as well. The reasons are the time limit, but that is mainly it since Sonic Heroes doesn't have rings for the checkpoints. I can't think of a decent name besides that though.

87
Well, I definitely think Mission 4 rings for Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle) should be added. As said before, the time limit will be a factor, which isn't present in Missions 1 and 5. As also said before, there are no checkpoints either, which means the ring scores will almost always be different from Missions 1 and 5.

Gaming and Grazing / Re: Wi-Fi with Mario Strikers

I mostly use Yoshi as captain, because he is an all-around player just like Mario and Luigi. I like his ability and talent more though, so that is why I have him as captain. For trophies, I am currently trying to win the Striker Cup. It is difficult though. I haven't tried any challenges yet, although I will after beating every cup.

Information Kiosk / Re: Are Sonic Heroes ps2 users at a disadvantage?
« on: August 28, 2007, 08:56:51 pm »
Just to clarify, I do play Sonic Heroes on the GameCube. As it is, you can tell the difference between versions by looking at the character change buttons. The PC version has small circular buttons labled "Y" and "X". The GameCube version has the oval shaped "Y" and "X" buttons. By looking at my videos, you can tell I play Sonic Heroes on the Gamecube.

Competition Central / Re: Your best and worst records.
« on: August 26, 2007, 10:13:49 am »
Here are some of my best and worst records. I'll list three for the best, and 2 for the worst. I can't remember another worst record that I have.

Best Records:

1. 02:29:21 for Shadow The Hedgehog - Cryptic Castle - Hero Mission.

I spent a really long time on this, finding every shortcut and secret the stage had to offer. I spent around a year or so on the stage alone, trying to get under 2 minutes and 30 seconds. However, I didn't try that hard enough until recently, and I managed to achieve that goal. Fufilling a year-long goal felt great.

2. 491 rings for Sonic Heroes - Seaside Hill - Team Dark.

Wow. Getting this amazed me. I just decided one day to see if two more rings were possible for the two Speed Formation Trick Ring sets. It took a while, but I managed to devise a well thought out method of getting 14 rings for the first set of Trick Rings. Naturally, I tried this method on the second set of Trick Rings. After some very minor alterations to the method, I got 14 rings for the second set of Trick Rings. I can't believe it took so much planning just to get 2 more rings. Well, it was worth doing it.

3. 539 rings for Sonic Heroes - Rail Canyon - Team Dark.

Well, the only tough thing about getting this was the first set of Trick Rings. They were the Power Formation type. However, they were very difficult to get 13 rings for. It took some long experimenting, but I managed to get 13 rings. After doing that, the rest of the stage was easy.

Worst Records:

1. 00:08:44 for Shadow The Hedgehog - Lethal Highway - Hero Mission.

When I first got this, I thought 00:08:43 or faster was possible. I still think so. Due to the ease of me being able to get this, that is why I think it is one of my worst records. I might keep trying to get 00:08:43. This isn't the worst of my worst records, but it still qualifies for the worst, in my opinion.

2. 01:33:58 for Sonic Heroes - Grand Metropolis - Extra - Team Rose.

All I can say is I had many mistakes. I remember saying to myself that I could get well under 1 minutes and 30 seconds right after I got the time, but I haven't been able to do so. I always make a mistake somewhere. I don't really want to try anymore to get a faster time.
