Sonic 06- Sonic's Dusty Desert Dashpad trick?
« on: August 29, 2014, 08:05:28 pm »
I noticed that in Paraxade's DD speedrun,he went extremely fast on the dashpad on the bridge at the end.I have no idea how this is performed. All I know is to let go of forward, but that's it.How do you do this trick? Any help would be appreciated.
I really only play SA2, honestly. (On PS3!)

SA2 stuff:

Hero Story PB: 53:38 (48:44 In-game)

 -Currently Learning/Practicing-
Final Rush m1 (no skip)
Eternal Engine m1 (no skip)
Crazy Gadget m1 (no skip)
Mission Street m1

Don't hold anything. That's it. Don't press a single direction, and it will work.
There's other things in that level, like this, which can save a little bit more time.

Okay, every time I try the trick on the loop and I pull it off,I actually go slower. And I don't understand why the homing attack on the loop after the spike barrels at the start helps.Any help there?

You cannot hold forward during the first part after the spikes. The loop, I have no idea why that isn't working for you, possibly you did it too close to the loop.
