Not sure about it, S&K I think (because the second half of S3&K is better ;) ), even though I also really like Sonic 3D Blast, which seems to be hated by a lot of people.

I can't decide between Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 and Knuckles... I'd say Sonic 2, because its levels are better for time attacking, whereas S3&K's are better for exploration. But all the 16bit (and 8bit!) games do a better job of combining the two gameplay types than the Adventure games ever did (where speed and exploration were divided between the characters).

Also, I prefer Sonic and Knuckles alone to Sonic 3 alone.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles, save file, longer, better graphics, better special stages(IMO), definetely my favorite!

Despite what the majority on gamefaqs.com, sonic 3 &knuckles was a fun experience (lots o' speed with knux, what's not to like? Glide, spin, glide again....ahhhh,the good ol' days ;) )

Spinball was fun, yes, but too many people hate it. It gets really annoying sometimes when u need to get to this area to drain something, then go to this area to hit a switch which moves something, which when u go where the object was, you get a chaos emerald, only to repeat the process 2 more times and find the exit. It was sort of fun, but could have been better.
