Sonic Center is kinda a dull name. There're already fifty gajillion "The Sonic [World/Planet/Universe/Source]" sites out there. Plus, you know, when somebody says "well hey what sites do you go to a lot lol!!!11", saying "I'm a sonic center member...person... yeah" just doesn't sound cool. There's no zesty flavor.

So how bout a new name? Something NEW AGE and FUTURISTIC? Like... um... "SoniStreak". Or perhaps a zingy acronym like... um... "BASS". Which would stand for something cool, of course. Or maybe, "Sonic Blast Zone", or some sort of game reference like "Chaos Utopia".

I dunno. I'm in a weird mood. Maybe y'all like it how it is. Thoughts?

also this isn't really an update but I know half of you bozos don't read the rest of the forum. :P

Domain names are less relevant than actual names (though of course if it was changed, there probably would be a new domain to go with it).

How about "stardust speedway"

It clearly matches the new skins, and it kinda sounds futuristic like you were saying you wanted.

It should be seen to be a sonic site, as it is the name of a zone, and the "SPEEDway" relates to the whole time attack thing.

Then I suppose no site should offer skin choices.  The fact remains that there's a default, and that default ties directly into a zone.

Count this as a vote for Stardust Speedway.

You could chage Stardust speedway to

Starlight speedway
or
The stardust speedway zone

But there a bit similar to the original.

So as this is mainly a site based around speed it should have speedy name.
When i think about speed in sonic i first think about sonics shoes.
I keep coming up with names like,

White striped red sneakers
or
the red and white shoes

something like that.  Those dont seem that catchy, but you get the idea.  I dont know myself if these are good suggestions or really bad ones, but im sure you'll let me know.

"Stardust Speedway" seems good enough that perhaps we could, as a group, contact the heads of the site that surrently uses that name.  Perhaps they might let us use the name if we offer to host their stuff, which I would consider a pretty good trade.

Erm... terrible idea. The whole purpose of their site seems to be huge files, so our bandwidth usage would go through the roof just to be able to use their name. And then it'd be awkward to either maintain two separate sites with the same name or merge the sites, since there're quite a few aspects of TSC I'd refuse to cede even partial control of to people who didn't even know about the site before. If we really wanted the name that badly, I'd just take it and get a .com or .net domain. :P
